Dating in Fort Worth – Guide For Transplants – Welcome To Cowboy Country!

Dating in Fort Worth – Guide For Transplants – Welcome To Cowboy Country!

The fastest-growing city in the US isn’t Austin, Miami, or Charlotte — it’s Fort Worth.

Many perhaps wouldn’t conceive that Fort Worth would be the fastest-growing city in Texas much less the nation, but it’s true.

Since 2020, Forth Worth has seen a 4.1% increase in population, making it the 13th most populous city in the US with approximately 956,709 residents. Last year it added nearly 20,000 people, or about 53 new residents every day – and if you’re reading this, chances are you were one of them.

So let me be the first to welcome you to Fort Worth the tumescent city you now call home.

Dating in Fort Worth

If you’re a transplant chances are you don’t know many people, don’t know how to get to know people, and have few if any romantic prospects — I’m going to help you address that.

First things first, let’s get a lay of the land by having a closer look at the dating pool.

Gender Ratio

Ever wonder why it’s so difficult for you (a man) to get a match on Tinder?

It’s because Tinder’s gender ratio is 9 men to every 1 woman. With this in mind, it’s no surprise that there’s a vast success disparity when you compare your Tinder success to that of your female friend’s.

Dating is largely about ratios. The best way to meet women is to surround yourself with lots of women — duh. But how do you do that?

For one, you can move to Fort Worth.

This overshadowed city boasts impressive dating ratios (if you’re a man). Take a look at the Tarrant country’s (of which Fort Worth is a part of) gender makeup below.

So long as you’re over the age of 24 you’ll typically be surrounded by more women than men.

Being that you’re outnumbered meeting women should in theory be easier than meeting women in a place like San Jose California for example where there are 125 men for every 100 women.

While these are the current numbers, they are changing rapidly.

The Transplants

As you’ve surely noticed, you’re not the only one who just moved from LA.

Whether you live in Arlington Heights or Fairmont you’ve surely noticed more UCLA t-shirts and Yankees caps than expected.

That’s because most of your new neighbors are young, from the East and West coast and quite a lot of them work in tech. They either work remotely or are about to set up shop in a brick-and-mortar. That’s because unlike so many other big cities Fort Worth has a commercial real estate vacancy rate of just 13% (Dallas is around 30%).

We know new tenants are young because Fort Worth is currently constructing 5,000 new apartments.

Your fellow transplants may look, act, and work just like you, but they’re not the only ones you’re sharing the city with.

Your New Neighbors

Who are you living next to?

Are you neighbors old, young, rednecks, Republicans, Astros fans, BBQ lovers?

You won’t know them until you bump into them in the hallway, but until then let’s give you a snapshot of who your neighbors are.

For one, they’re probably on the younger side.

Half of Fort Worth residents are younger than 35 with a median age of 33. The Dallas Forth Worth has a median age of 35 whereas the median age of the country is 38.

This young median age rings true for women and men. If you’re looking to date younger women, you may have just unintentionally come to the perfect city.

But is this woman educated? It depends.

As far as education goes Fort Worth isn’t as studious as other cities with just 31% of residents holding a BA or higher.

That being said there’s a good chance she knows the best place to grab Latino food. That’s because a third of Fort Worth households speak Spanish in the home.

Here are some other stats to know about life in the Dallas-Fort Worth area courtesy of US News.

Women Also Like Being Single In Fort Worth

It’s clear that the everyday man loves being single in Fort Worth. It’s relatively cheap, has a great gender ratio, and new women deepening the gender pool every day.

What’s also true is that women love being single in Fort Worth.

A few years back Fort Worth-Dallas was ranked as the third-best metro area to live in for single women.

Why you ask?

The creator of the list, Owners.com used stats such as the percentage of single women that own their own homes (13.7%) home value, median income, crime rate, walkability, and cost of nightlife to determine their ranking.

Where To Meet Women In Fort Worth

You can’t date in Fort Worth if you don’t know how to meet women.

First, let’s start with the obvious place — dating apps.

where to meet single women

At this point in time it doesn’t matter where you live, the best place to meet women is online.

With 39% of all new relationships beginning online (and growing every year) it’s just too easy to meet women by swiping your finger right.

If you’re in the Fort Worth area I recommend downloading:

These are what I call the big three.

Tinder has the most users (however most are young and not looking for a serious LTR). Bumble is what singles graduate to when they’re done with Tinder. And Hinge is perfect for singles looking for a LTR (their motto is, the dating app designed to be deleted).

Other apps to consider include The League, JSwipe, Coffee Meets Bagel, Raya, and Match.

But what if you’re old school?

What if you want to meet women IRL?

There is a strategy to this, one that we teach in our dating program, Dating Decoded (we also teach men how to optimize their online dating profiles among a billion other things).

Before you start hitting the bars you need to ask yourself what type of women you want to meet. You want to imagine who she is, what she does for work, how old she is, and of course what her hobbies are. Once you have an idea of who your ideal partner is, begin to brainstorm where she might spend her time.

Here are a few places you might find your ideal woman in Fort Worth:

  • Church – Almost half of residents consider themselves highly religious
  • Small Business Networking – This is one of the most active Meetup groups in Fort Worth
  • Trail Walking – Most health-oriented groups like this one are highly attended by women
  • Singles Groups – This group’s next outing is at a speakeasy, 15 people have already signed up
  • Pickleball! – Have you still not caught the pickleball bug? Pick up a new sport and start meeting people
  • Knit95% of group participants are women, are you ready for this?
  • Brunch + YogaFirst yoga, then brunch, not a bad Sunday combo eh?
  • Billy Bob’s – You and your buddy should get your dance on and then ride a bull at Billy Bob’s, a must for transplants
  • Co-ed Sports – Fancy a game of co-ed kickball, volleyball, soccer, or corn-hole? We’ve got you covered.

If you want to assimilate I’d start with some of these groups.

And it’s okay if you don’t meet your special someone at volleyball practice. Make friends, expand your social circle, and soon enough you’ll be meeting more women than you ever imagined.

Best First Date Spots In Forth Worth

Once you’re starting to meet women online and IRL it’s time to then go on first dates.

At emlovz we teach men how to go on stellar one-hour first dates that cost no more than $20 — and there’s a reason for this. In our program, Dating Decoded we equip men with the skills they need to MegaDate. MegaDating involves going out with various women at the same time. That means dating Sally on Tuesday, Becca on Thursday, and Samantha on Sunday.

In order to do this without sacrificing all your time and money you must go on brief and relatively cheap first dates.

It may sound difficult to go on amazing first dates that snugly satisfy these criteria, but don’t worry we’ve got you covered whether you’re going out in Forth Worth or Dallas.
