There’s no denying how important photos are when it comes to online dating.

If you don’t have a dope roster of photos she’s not liking your profile.

It’s that simple.

But as superficial as dating apps are, photos aren’t the end all be all, especially when it comes to Hinge.

Hinge attracts an older more mature crowd, one more concerned with finding a long-term partner than a one-night stand. So sure, photos still reign supreme, but they aren’t the only factor that determines whether you’ll score a match.

That’s where Hinge’s in-depth bio comes into play.

Hinge allows users to display their personalities with Hinge Prompts.

A Random Fact I Love Is Hinge Prompt Responses

So how can you best use prompts to show her you’re worth taking a chance on?

It’s easy.

1) Unicorns Are Patriotic

I did fact-check this and it’s true.

The unicorn is as Scottish as the kilt or bagpipes.

Who would have thought?

It’s truly random and cool facts like these that perfectly satisfy the prompt’s criteria. This is an example of a user doing exactly as they’ve been instructed to do.

But a single cool and random fact isn’t enough to score you a match.

It’s important to fill out all three Hinge prompts, the intro audio, bio, and of course upload those photos.

2) Soft Flex

Sure sharing random facts are good and all, but the point of these prompts is to show off your personality.

There are a million ways we can do that.

The facts you share reflect who you are, but that’s not the only way to let your personality shine through.

The prompt above has a formula I recommend you all use.

Random fact + sharing personal info = a potential like. 

Ideally, that random fact is something that allows you to share something truly cool about yourself.

Here’s another example of what that looks like.

3) Tell Her About What You’re Into

Who writes a book in three weeks?

Jack Frekin’ Kerouac.

Not only was it super fast but it’s now a classic.

While this is cool and all it’s too easy for her to read it, say, wow cool, and move on.

If your sole accomplishment is having supplied her with a cute factoid to share at the next family gathering you’ve failed. You want that factoid to connect to who you are. The best way to do so is to follow that random fact up with a fact about yourself.

In this case the respondent is not only sharing a dope factoid about themself (that they’re a writer) but is witty by calling out Kerouac’s use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Remember dating apps are a strategic game.

Play the game better than the next guy by:

• Not necessarily playing by the rules,
• Standing out
• Being witty

4) Fun Should Never Be Illegal

Perhaps not a random fact the user loves, but it doesn’t really matter.

When it comes to writing a kick-ass a random fact I love is Hinge response you don’t need to play by the rules.

All you need to do is make her think you’re worth liking. That’s the goal of these prompts. Not to convince her to go out with you or even marry you, but rather to simply like your profile.

From there you’ll score a match and have to woo her with your conversational ability.

Talking about your favorite hobby — obviously traveling — is never a bad idea.

Everyone is a world traveler nowadays. People would trade money for time to travel any day or the week any time of year.

Flexing your desire to travel is an easy way to strike up a quick bond with an online stranger.

The best prompt responses invite her to join you on this adventure or list out the places you’ve recently visited.

The more you write and the more detailed you become and the better the chances are that she latches on to something you write and connects with you.

6) Now That’s Inventive

How wild is that?

This is a genuinely awesome fact that will resonate with women.

The more interesting the fact the more interesting you become. Such a fact won’t make every woman fall for you, but it will appeal to the right kind of woman.

What do I mean by the right kind of woman?

I’m referring to the kind of woman you’re compatible with. Look, you don’t want to attract every female Hinge user.

That’d actually be horrible.

Imagine having to comb through a large number of incompatible women in your attempt to find someone you vibe with?

That would be rough.

That’s why you should aim to use your prompt responses to weed out certain women. Do this by talking about what interests you no matter how obscure or dorky.

7) Make It Local

Make your random and awesome fact you love local to your area.

It doesn’t matter if you live in a tiny town or big city.

Making it local shows her you live in the city/town signaling you’re serious about meeting someone in the area. It also make it easier for her to vibe with you. Random facts about things that don’t easily lead to a conversation are of little value.

Make it pertinent to her life.

Take the fact above.

It’s not only a fact about New Haven having a ton of restaurants but then name-drops the best pizza joint in town (debatable). Chances are if she’s a pizza lover she’ll heart the prompt and shoot you a message either agreeing or claiming Frank Pepe’s is best.

8) Tell It Like It Is

It’s painfully true.

So many people using online dating aren’t interested in dating.

They use it to boost self-esteem, waste time, or just entertain themselves when bored.

Show her you mean business by letting her know you’re up for meeting IRL.

Too many online daters are fed up with how ineffective dating apps are.

It’s refreshing to know that someone finally means business and is up for getting a drink or two in person.

9) There’s A Reason No One Ever Raps About Ketchup

This is 100% legit.

Along with cocaine and cigarettes, ketchup and tomato pills were once prescribed by concerned doctors for ailing patients.

This response to the a random fact I love is prompt works because it’s just so damn random.

When you can’t make it funny or tie it into your day-to-day life, as least make it entertaining, something 99% of profiles aren’t.

10) A Random Fact About #1

At the end of the day she is trying to figure out if she wants to go out with you.

So when you’re prompted to supply a random fact, why not talk about yourself?

Tell her a wild story, a hobby you’re into, or some award you won.

Make yourself look like the kind of person she could see herself spending an afternoon with (or at least dishing out a like to on Hinge).

Choose something about your life or personality you want to highlight and talk about it.

But, do you notice the mistake in this prompt response?

The word “have” should be written as “gave.”

Always double check your grammar, especially if spell check disrupts your flow.

What Happens After A Match?

What happens when you two match?

After you two match, you’ll head over to the Match portion of the app to get your mack on.

But where do you begin?

The beauty of Hinge is that when liking a profile you can also send a message or like a certain photo or prompt. If she’s sent you a message or if she’s responded to one of yours, just keep riffing off that initial message.

But what if neither party has sent a message (TIP: Always send a message along with your like). 

This is the tougher part.

It may seem like you have nothing to talk about, but that’s probably not true.

Hinge profiles are decorated with personality. Review her profile and see if you two have anything in common.

Maybe after re-reading her profile you see that you two:

• Love dogs
• Are huge Star Wars fans
• Have been to Lake Tahoe
• Eat the same food
• Have the same politics

Chances are you two will have something in common.

When you find that similarity, ask her a question about it.

Tell her… I also have a dog and she has this weird habit where she jumps on the kitchen table like the cats, is your dog just as weird?

The formula for a great opening message is simple…

Find a commonality + ask a question about commonality + (optional, talk about yourself for a second). 

Once she inevitably responds to your kick-ass opener simply continue talking about what you two have in common before asking her out on a date that ties in something you too both dig.

For example, comment on a photo of her liking. Ask her where it is and if she can recommend any good parks close by. Chat about hiking for a few lines, crack a couple of jokes and then write her…
