It happens unexpectedly. That moment you’ve been dreading. You’ve always had a fear of dating a taller woman. And now you can feel that fear coming to fruition with the click-clack of high heels. That taller woman you’ve been fearing has arrived for your date and now you’re set to spend time conversing with her torso.
And then you wake up in a cold sweat. It was all a dream. Thank GAWD. Now it’s time to get back to a reality where you only date women who are shorter than you, right?
Quit this mode of thinking right now and expand your horizons. In this article, I’m going to help you conquer your fear of dating a taller woman with these seven reasons.
Reason #1: Variety is the Spice of Life
You fear dating a taller woman but if you took that fear away, wouldn’t it be exciting to try something new? If all you ever date is shorter women, you never have the opportunity to enjoy some variety. A big part of dating success is mixing things up by dating a broad range of people. This means dating people of different ages, races, professions and, yes, people who are taller.
Reason #2: You’re Missing Out on Great Women
When you really get down to it, refusing to date a woman because she is taller is the pinnacle of superficiality. What if there is a woman out there who is completely in sync with you and could turn out to be an amazing, compatible partner? Do you really want to miss out on a great relationship because you have to (literally) look up to her? Is insecurity over her wearing heels worth turning someone down?
No, it isn’t, which is why you should never fear dating a taller woman.
Reason #3: She’s as Self-Conscious as You Are
If you’re a shorter guy, you may feel insecure about dating a taller woman. You may even worry that she’ll find you less attractive or consider it a pain to have to tower over you.
But the thing is, that taller woman may have insecurities of her own relating to height. She may feel pressured to date guys who are her height or taller out of fear that it will look strange. And she may be attracted to tons of short guys who refuse to approach her because they’re scared as well.
By approaching her with confidence and showing that you don’t fear dating a taller woman, you’ll stand out from other men.
Reason #4: It Improves Your Confidence
In dating and other areas of life, it’s really important to face your fears. Refusing to face your fears stymies growth and keeps you in a dating rut. Conversely, stepping outside of your comfort zone increases your chances of success.
Moreover, it improves your confidence. And women love confident men.
Reason #5: You Can Improve Your Comedy Skills
Upend your insecurities by using them to your advantage. Find the humor in the frustrations that come with a short stature. One example of a person who does this perfectly is actor and stand-up comedian, Kevin Hart.
He commands attention and oozes confidence. He’s also considered very short for a man at an estimated 5 feet 4 inches.
Addressing his height in a self-deprecating way has always been a staple of the stand-up comedy that made Kevin Hart a household name, and he also uses jokes about his height in movie scenes.
On a date, you can borrow one of his one-liners or come up with some of your own!
Reason #6: Remember, Tons of Famous Heartthrobs Are Short
It can be really hard to tell somebody’s height on the big screen or a TV show, but several male actors — heartthrobs, actually — are short. Here are a few examples to give you a confidence boost:
- Usher (5 feet 7 inches)
- Robert Downey Jr. (5 feet 8 inches)
- Bruno Mars (5 feet 5 inches)
- Zach Efron (5 feet 8 inches)
- Kevin Hart (5 feet 4 inches)
- Dave Franco (5 feet 7 inches)
Reason #7: You Can Use This as a Part of MegaDating
Sometimes guys get hung up on dating fears (like dating a taller woman) because they are only dating one woman at a time. They’re so focused on that one person that they want to make sure nothing stands in their way when it comes to their chances of making that person their girlfriend. But the thing is, this strategy does quite the opposite.
Not only does staying laser-focused on one person while you’re exploring the dating scene keep you from learning what you truly want in a person, but it also:
- Increases the risk of chasing after a woman, which you should never do
- Decreases self-esteem
- Increases anxiety
- Puts you at risk of settling for the mediocre
Conversely, MegaDating is a strategy that increases your confidence, reduces anxiety and helps you attract gorgeous, high-value women.
What is MegaDating?
MegaDating is a dating strategy that involves dating several people at the same time in order to diffuse energy and keep your social calendar full. By dating people concurrently, you can crush your dating goals at a much faster rate.
MegaDating relieves the pressure that comes with dating one person at a time. You won’t fear rejection and if you do get rejected, the fact that you are already hanging out with other people will lessen the pain.
Moreover, MegaDating makes dating FUN! You’ll be opening yourself to all kinds of different experiences with new people. And this helps you overcome fears, like dating a taller woman. When you MegaDate, you should be open to all kinds of experiences in order to determine what you truly want in a partner.
I found lasting love through MegaDating and you can do the same!
Wrack Up Dates with Any Woman
One of the ways that you can MegaDate successfully is by utilizing a variety of avenues when it comes to finding dates. Check out a list of places to meet and attract women by reading my article, Where to Meet Women Other Than Bars.
And when you meet these women, increase your chances of getting them to say “yes” to a date with you each and every time by creating compelling date ideas that use a TDL.
What is a TDL?
A TDL is going to help you suffer far less rejection in the dating world. This will help you not only overcome a fear of dating a taller woman, but a fear of approaching any woman you may find intimidating.
So what is a TDL, exactly? A TDL is an acronym we here at EmLovz use to refer to a date’s call-to-action. It stands for time, date and location. For example, instead of asking a woman to “grab a coffee,” you would ask her to get coffee with you at a specific and super eclectic place this Saturday at 1 pm.
Every client I’ve worked with who wasn’t getting dates before we started working together was failing to use TDLs when asking women out. Similarly, every client who learned to use and consistently employ the use of TDLs after working with me has ended up getting more dates with beautiful women–some of them have even gotten more dates than they know what to do with.
Make the Date Compelling
A compelling date idea is one that aligns with your shared interests and introduces the woman to something new. You may fear dating a taller woman who has a ton of things in common with you, like a love for arts and culture. Overcome your fear by asking her on a date to a museum exhibit or music event that she has never been to before. When you pair that with a TDL, you’re likely to see her face light up as she happily accepts. And suddenly you’ll feel your fear diminish.
