According to many experts, New Years’ resolutions are prone to failure. Why are they so hard to achieve? Well, it’s pretty simple. People set unrealistic goals for themselves, hoping that positive thinking will result in long-term change, overnight. The problem is, it’s really hard to commit to changing your behavior without working on changing your mindset, first.

30-Day challenges, on the other hand, are realistic and believable goals. If you can commit to one, you’ll force yourself to work hard and see results, fast–which will give you more motivation to keep going. Additionally, the results you see are truly life-changing, and will alter the way you see yourself and your ability to really accomplish what you’re looking to achieve. If you really want to see change in the new year, I highly recommend that you start your 2018 Dating Challenge instead of making a resolution.

What is a 30 Day Dating Challenge? I’m glad you asked. A 30 Day Challenge is a specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timed goal related to a dating challenge you’d like to overcome. Would you like to get better at approaching women? Do you want to improve the quality of your dates? Maybe your goal is to get yourself set up with a stellar online dating profile. A 30 Day Challenge can help you achieve your goals by breaking them up into small, realistic chunks of action, set with deadlines.

Your 2018 Dating Challenge: Finding the Right One for You

There are lots of dating challenges out there, and it’s important that you choose one that’s going to work for you.

First, you want to select a challenge that’s going to make you feel excited about the change you’re inviting into your life. The challenge should help you to accomplish a goal that you’ve always had for yourself, but haven’t been able to realize on your own. Alternatively, it could be something you’ve always dreamed of doing but never thought you’d have it in you to accomplish–like megadating, for example.

Second, your challenge should address a certain behavior you’d like to change about yourself. It should also force you to go out of your comfort zone, at least a bit. For example, if you suffer from social anxiety that prevents you from feeling confident enough to ask girls out in person, you should choose a challenge that helps you in that area. By overcoming bad habits or phobias, you can break down the barriers that keep you from dating.

The 100 Date Experiment Challenge

Okay, so this one isn’t exactly 30 days long, but I couldn’t resist adding my own challenge to the list, especially since it was so effective for me.

In 2012, I committed to going on 100 dates within a year. I was surprised at how much I learned about myself and the dating culture. This challenge was an incredible experience for me. Not only did I gain the expertise to start my own business as a dating coach, but I also found the love of my life in the process.

The 100 Date Experiment Challenge can be shortened to just 30 days, if you’d prefer. Commit to going on at least 10 dates within a month-long period. You’ll see why megadating is so beneficial for people looking for love. I’m certain that you’re going to love megadating so much, you’ll probably want to keep going with it. Maybe, you’ll want to complete the full challenge–100 Dates next year!

The 30-Day Rejection Therapy Challenge by Jia Jang

If you like TED Talks, you’ll love hearing Jia Jang’s story about how he went from a kid traumatized by rejection to a fearless, confident adult. His 30-Day Rejection Therapy Challenge is simple: overcome your debilitating fear of rejection by becoming immune to it.

The fear of rejection is a big topic with my clients, and can severely restrict your capacity to find success in dating. Jia Jang’s challenge is a great step towards breaking down that barrier to open yourself up to opportunities you might not ever get otherwise. If you’re massively afraid of being rejected by women, this challenge may be the perfect one for you!

The Online Wingman’s 30-Day Dating Challenge

Want to learn how to attract girls fast and easily? Try the Online Wingman’s 30 Day Dating Challenge, and spend the next month of your life doing just that. Daily instructions for this challenge are on their website, in the graphic towards the bottom of the challenge page.

This challenge will help men overcome shyness, social anxiety, and to feel more comfortable talking to women. Follow the daily steps and you’ll get closer and closer towards ending the 30-day challenge with some real experience under your belts. If this sounds interesting to you, then what do you have to lose? Go for it!

The 30-Day Gratitude Challenge

This challenge is less about dating itself, and more about feeling happier with your life. If you’re depressed, or just frustrated with the way your life is going, I really recommend doing this challenge. After all, you’re not going to be able to make someone else happy if you’re not happy with yourself, first.

Of all the challenges on this list, this one is by far the easiest one to do. But despite the simplicity of this challenge, the results are surprisingly powerful and effective.

To start, all you need is a brand new notebook and a pen. For the next thirty days, commit to spending five to ten minutes writing down everything you feel grateful for. If you can’t think of anything, think small. Write down how grateful you are for the roof over your head, the air that you breathe, the cup of coffee you’re holding in your hands.

Yes, this is a gratitude journal, and no, gratitude journals aren’t just for women. Gratitude journals are wonderful for everyone, and they work almost instantly. Why not try it out and see what happens?

The 30-Day Online Dating Challenge

Even though online dating is where it’s at these days, it’s super easy to get sidetracked or discouraged using these apps and sites to find love. For Your 2018 Dating Challenge, consider making a real commitment to your online dating presence. If you’re not currently on a dating site, sign up for a few and see what happens.

You can approach this challenge in several different ways. To start, you can make a promise to set up a new account on different dating sites. Try to consider opening at least one new account on a different site or mobile app, every day of the first week.

If you’re already on dating sites and need to focus on using them, make the commitment. Send out at least three messages to people you’re interested in every single day. Clearly, this number can vary, depending on how much time you want to put into this. If you want to give it everything you’ve got, try messaging ten people per day! Keep at it and make sure your profile is up-to-date, and you’re bound to get plenty of responses.
