Bumble Travel Mode Guide: What’s the Cost & Is it Worth It?

Bumble Travel Mode Guide: What’s the Cost & Is it Worth It?

Nowadays no one wants to be stuck at home. Heeding the call for liberation and virtual exploration, Bumble has introduced Bumble Travel Mode.

Bumble’s decision to launch Bumble Travel comes at the optimal time. In April of last year, TSA screened over 2 million people a day. This past April that number dropped to 100,000.

Without a doubt, COVID-19 is a supreme cock-block.

With more Americans than ever bunkering down at home, single men and women yearn to connect with others, regardless of their location. Tinder Passport users jumped 20% in France, 19% in Germany, and 25% in India as the first lockdown restrictions were announced.

Americans are leaning on virtual travel passes now more than ever before.

Bumble’s recent feature will provide singles all over the world with some much needed romantic respite. So what is Bumble Travel and how exactly does it work?

What Is Bumble Travel?

Can I Change Cities When I Purchase Bumble Travel?

With Bumble Travel you can travel anywhere in the world for seven days. If you want to get your swipe on in NYC before skipping off to Paris for a few nights that’s fine. Your seven days, your decision.

You can choose as many or as few cities as you wish. To change cities, do so by clicking the blue Travel bar, then change your current travel city to whichever city you prefer to get your flirt on it.Where to Find Bumble Travel

Next, choose a city from the drop-down list or search your city of choice.

Once you’ve chosen a new city, Bumble will confirm the selected city.

Is Bumble Travel Worth It?

Think of it this way. Before moving to a new city, traveling on vacation, or hitting the road for work, wouldn’t you like to line up some dates in the city you’re going to?

Bumble’s newest feature allows you to put work in before even setting foot in the city you’re venturing to. Our test user has been using the feature for a few days and has easily been able to score matches and set up dates ahead of time.

Before traveling don’t you book your hotel, make travel plans, and reserve excursions? If you plan ahead for these things why not plan ahead for your romantic experience as well?

Bumble Travel: Other Considerations

When you’re using Bumble Travel Mode, your profile will reflect it. Thus far this hasn’t been a problem with our test user.

Unlike Tinder’s travel feature, Bumble informs users that the profile they’re viewing is in another city. With Tinder, you have the option of turning this feature off. It’s possible that users will eventually catch on and be less interested in matching with a man that’s from out of town.

Bumble is after all supposed to be what Tinder users graduate to when they’re done having intercourse with random out of towners.

Bumble Travel Profile Update

What’s The Point of Bumble Travel If I Can’t Currently Vacation?

Great question hypothetical Bumble users! With Covid-19 burning a whole through our social calendars, dating can seem like a thing of the past. To some it might be, to others not so much.

Even if you don’t anticipate dating around as much as you used to prior to the pandemic, there are still good reasons to hop on the application.

For one, the wet blanket that is the novel coronavirus will come to pass. In the meantime, you can sharpen your online dating skills, begin to plan online dates, have some simple Zoom dates, and maintain your sanity.

Look we have no idea when this thing is going to end. We realize that life won’t go back to normal in a while, but that doesn’t mean we have to spend all our time indoors playing jigsaw puzzles and baking sourdough bread.

Use it To Sharpen Your Skills

Connect with women around the world by purchasing Bumble Travel.

Refine your profile, try out new opening lines, and set up dates for the future.

If you eschew the dating scene until the pandemic ends you may wake up from your flaccid slumber with crude dating skills. Don’t let your skills fall by the wayside from inaction.

Use it to Setup More Online First Dates

Let’s say that you’re going to Austin for a business trip. You’ll be there for a week and would like a companion to explore the city with. Instead of waiting to arrive in Austin to meet up with your match for the first time, why not first date her online.

With face to face social interaction becoming riskier and riskier, many singles are resorting to virtual first dates.

Ask her to an online happy hour where you two share a bottle of wine or even dinner.

Being that video calls with strangers can easily become awkward, inform her beforehand that the date can only last for 30 minutes. This brief timeframe will ensure that you two don’t run out of things to talk about.

This initial meeting online will wet her appetite to see you again, build sexual tension, and get her excited about seeing you in he future. Even if you don’t have plans to travel to her city anytime soon, that’s fine.

Plenty of people have resorted to exclusively online relationships, nowadays more than ever.

Bumble Travel Will Help You Stay Sane

We all want to get away, myself included – I left my home in San Francisco a month or so after Coronavirus took over the city. I couldn’t take it any longer and decided to go live in a less locked down area with my family out in Colorado.

Even during the pre-pandemic good old days how many times would you hear a co-worker moan about needing a vacation. Bumble’s Travel Mode grants users the chance to just get away.

So you can’t explore a new country on foot? That’s fine. Why not explore it through its single women? Ask about their culture, dating life there, and just connect.

Creating a bond with someone because you’re genuinely interested in their thoughts and personality more than looks is a great habit to pick up during these pandemic times.

Get The Most Out Of Online Dating

What’s the point of purchasing a 7-day international virtual dating pass if you suck at online dating? Before even thinking about virtual travel it’s time you revamped your dating profile.

To do this you’ll need to re-write your Bumble prompts and choose a diverse selection of Bumble photos.

When it comes to choosing new profile photos keep these tips in mind:

  • 1st Photo: Closeup headshot
  • 2nd Photo: Full body shot
  • 3rd Photo: Social shot
  • 4th Photo: Hobby shot
  • 5th Photo: Animal shot

What’s most important when creating a dating profile is that you humanize yourself. Let’s face it, even Bumble which is marketed as “feminist Tinder” is still fairly superficial.

To convey that you’re a real person you’ll need to post a diverse selection of photos. Show off your hobbies, face, friends, and life. Wear different clothes in every photo, never frown or appear angry, keep your shirt on, use HD photos, and never appear basic.

Realize that the female viewing your profile doesn’t have much information to go off of. Your job with your profile is to project your value. With this limited medium tell her a story about herself. Tell her that you’re a safe dude -by smiling and posing with friends- and that you’re high value (shown through travel photos and social shots).

When penning an awesome profile you need to keep a few things in mind.

One is to never come off as cliche. Too many guys will steal the lines from other dating profiles or write about the same old topics like fishing and their love for The Office. Everyone nowadays can quote Michael Scott or freak out about their love for tacos. When in doubt, keep it fresh.

Humanize yourself by writing about your hobbies. Don’t simply write that you like reading, tell us which book you’re currently reading.

Reach across the phone by posing a question on your profile to the woman on the other side. Seeing as how women are required to message first on Bumble, asking a question will make it easier for her to write you an intriguing opening message.
