Here are the 4 Best Dating Services for Young Professionals

Young professionals need dating services more now than ever.

Even before the pandemic hit, young singles were suffering from a loneliness pandemic.

In 2019, 2/3rds of Americans “often or always felt alone,” many of them young.

It wasn’t just that Americans didn’t have a friend to get a drink with or a buddy to go to the game with. By and large young professionals were lacking romantic connections as well.

To quantify what, lacking romantic connections really means, let me slug you with a number; 28.

This is the percentage of men between the ages of 18-30 that had no sex in 2018. Numbers aren’t out yet on how many young people abstained involuntarily from sex in 2020 but we can assume it was higher than 28%.

A lack of pillow talk is a problem unique to America’s youth. The demographic that had the second least amount of sex were 50-year-olds, of which only 13% didn’t have sex in 2018.

Upon hearing this you should be rather puzzled (I’m just gonna assume that your jaw’s on the floor).

Few 20-somethings would ever think that their parents are getting more buns than themselves. Despite the perhaps scarring thought, it’s true. So does this mean we should all start receiving dating advice from our parents?

Not quite.

This revelation is surprising considering the glut of online dating services on the market. With a dating app on your phone, you’re basically walking around with a 24/7 singles bar in your pocket.

But having access to single people while relaxing on the john doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to find someone.

In fact, the fact that these services are so widely used could actually work against you (if you have a penis). There’s little point in walking into a virtual singles bar if 90% of the people there are dudes.

With that in mind, you’ll not only have to use dating services wisely but choose them wisely as well.

In this article, we’ll profile four dating services for young professionals that every aspiring yuppie should utilize.

The Best Dating Services for Young Professionals

First, let’s talk about what constitutes a great dating service.

Any dating service that changes your dating fortunes for the better should be categorized as a “great dating service.”

A service can include anything from a dating coach to an app, to a matchmaker.

A high-quality dating service will help you reach your romantic goals.

No matter what they are, no matter how lofty, no matter how many sex toys they involve a solid dating service will help you achieve them.

The best dating service is one that’s comprehensive. One that can not only help you find compatible singles to date but can also help you hone in on your dating skills.

With that said, here are four dating services for young professionals that any and all young singles should check out.

emlovz

You don’t just want to date anyone.

You want to date only the most compatible singles.

What if there was a matchmaking service that would comb through thousands of singles in your city regardless of where you live. What if they interviewed candidates in depth before setting you up?

Such a matchmaker exists.

emlovz bucks the matchmaking style of old-school matchmakers by using a team of e-recruiters to comb through your city in search of compatible singles.

After an initial list of hundreds of potential matches has been found the list, we then trim the list down to between 25-50 singles. From there we interview each one in-depth. Over time, from that list we narrow down the potential matches once more until we have a final 6-12 hyper compatible singles to set you up with.

But we also realize, there’s little use in setting you up with your dream girl if your dating game is rusty.

This is why emlovz offers a 12-week dating course that focuses on all things dating related. Each week we’ll work towards turning you into the kind of guy that any woman would want to date. You’ll learn how to use a TDL, how to flirt, when to accelerate the relationship, how to choose the optimal date spot, and more.

emlovz is the total solution if you’re looking to outsource your dating and ditch your dating apps for good.

You’ll get your very own personal matchmaker, a choice of 6-12 vetted & interviewed matches, a 50-minute onboarding session, pre/post date coaching, & Slack/email support.

You’ll also have an option to add a 3-month group or private coaching program to your matchmaking membership. We’re one of the only matchmakers in the country with a full-service coaching solution. Never be in the dark again while you date.

Hinge Preferred

As far as dating apps go, there’s no other app out there for young professionals that genuinely wants to help you find love more than Hinge. I mean their freakin’ motto is, “the dating app designed to be deleted.”

While most dating apps feel like their goal is to keep you forever alone so you’ll be glued to the app forever, Hinge feels different.

Firstly, Hinge attracts a more serious dating user-base. Hinge users are less shallow than those you’ll find on Tinder and are more interested in building meaningful long-term relationships. The average user is in their mid-20s, socially conscious, and is more than willing to actually write something in their bio than your average online dater.

But more than its user-base, Hinge proves that it’s one of the best dating services for young professionals through its features, specifically its Hinge Preferred features.

The three-month package costing just $39.99 gives you access to a range of features.

My favorites are the advanced search filters and the ability to see everyone that has already liked your profile.

The former allows users to filter out users based on their “height, whether someone has children, whether someone wants children, politics, drinking, smoking, marijuana, drug use” and more. No one wants to waste time investing in people that they’ll have no future with. Certain things like one’s drug use, politics, and height can be deal breakers for some people.

Speaking about not wasting time, my second most favorite Hinge Preferred feature hits at just that. Why waste time approving and rejecting Hinge singles hoping to connect with someone when you can gain access to a host of women that have already approved of your profile and want to chat with you. This saves the time you would have spent wading through the muck of innumerable women that you’re not compatible with.

But you know what, Hinge is great even when you aren’t paying for its services. Signing up still means that you’ll have a Nobel Prize-winning algorithm as your matchmaker, will never be ghosted, and will be using an app where 75% of users that go on a first date report wanting to see their date again.

Bumble Premium

Second to Hinge Preferred is Bumble Premium.

Bumble is known as feminist Tinder.

This is in part at least because women are made to message first on Bumble. Not to mention that the app looks and feels a lot like Tinder, thus drawing the comparison. It should also be noted that the founder of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe, also co-founded Tinder, but left after being sexually harassed.

It is because of this that the two apps are forever intertwined.

Both are fairly shallow, reduce users to playing cards that are either swiped to the left or right and are designed (at least at the executive level) by the same people.

However, there is still plenty that separates the two dating apps.

For one, the users are different. While both user-bases are young, Bumble is used more so by people that are done with the callow and lascivious users of Tinder. Bumble is what Tinderellas graduate to when they’re done with short-term flings. Being billed as “feminist Tinder” it attracts a more socially conscious and mature audience.

But it isn’t Bumble that I recommend young professionals use, but rather Bumble Premium.

Bumble’s premium service is a paid membership that’ll run you $32.99 for one month or $66.99 for three months.

So what superhuman dating skills will the app grant you?

  • Access to unlimited Advanced filters
  • Access to your Beeline
  • Travel mode
  • Backtrack
  • Ability to extend time on your current matches
  • Rematch with users who have expired
  • Unlimited swipes
  • One Spotlight per week
  • Five SuperSwipes per week

The paid features aren’t groundbreaking by any means. What is perhaps groundbreaking is that these features can be used to connect you with a user-base worth connecting with.

If I were to highlight one feature it’d be Travel Mode. This feature allows you to get your swipe on in any city in the world. This however can have pros and cons. One advantage it offers is that you’ll be able to swipe in a city that you’ll be visiting either for work or vacation. In this way, you’re not wasting time setting up dates and swiping once you’re already in town. A downside is that swiping through Parisian ladies can be addicting. And of course, if you don’t intend on vacationing to Paris anytime soon, this little hobby could be fruitless.

The League Tickets

If you’re still not convinced the above list of the best dating services for young professionals will solve your dating woes, check out The League.

That’s probably because The League is an exclusive dating app that one doesn’t sign up for, but rather must be applied for. Of those that apply just 20-30% are accepted into this app, scandalously described as “elitist Tinder.”

So if The League is so exclusive, what kind of person do they accept?

The dating app’s founder, Amanda Bradford has revealed that “98% have college degrees, 8% are PhDs, 30% have advanced degrees, 14% are director-level or higher, 21% are managers, 13% are CEOs, founders, co-founders or owners, and over 39% are estimated to be making six-figure salaries.”

People apply, get wait-listed for weeks, and spend big on The League to gain access to a user-base that is ambitious, wealthy, and yes probably a bit high on confidence.

If you know that you want to date someone that values their career, is always looking to improve themself, and is exceptionally bright, The League is for you. There is no disputing this.

To get the very most out of the dating service you’ll want to utilize The League’s Tickets.

A Ticket is not the same as a membership. Once purchased, Tickets can be used to boost your profile, rematch, undo an X, perform a power move, purchase an extra batch of prospects including an upgraded all-star batch, get a new user batch (for users that just joined), or a hearts batch (see women who’ve already liked you), or boost your profile.

Tickets are primarily used by those that don’t have a membership. For free members, your profile will only be shown to 3-5 users a day. But if you choose to use a Ticket to buy a boost, your profile will be shown to the next 30 users whose search preferences you satisfy.

The ticket prices are as follows:

  • 5 tickets/ $24.99
  • 15 tickets/ $69.99
  • 100 tickets/ $399.99

While the app’s features aren’t unique, its user-base certainly is. As the most popular app that users must apply to, The League’s user-base is what makes it one of the best dating services for young people.
