11 “I Get Way Too Excited About” Bumble Answers for Men

For me, it’s an empty movie theater.

There’s no other feeling more VIP than walking into a theater to see a flick you’re stoked about only to find that you and your hubby are the only ones there.

Now it’s your turn to fill in the blank.

What do you get way too excited about?

In this article we’ll present you with some of the best responses to the prompt, “I get way too excited about…” for you to get inspired or steal from.

But before we do that let’s talk a little bit more about Bumble prompts and their importance.

I Get Way Too Excited About – Bumble Prompt

“I get way too excited about” is one of the most popular dating prompts Bumble has to offer.

But what’s the big deal with prompts anyways?

Well, unlike other apps, Bumble prides itself on its ability to create meaningful connections.

It seeks to do this by highlighting the user’s personality.

One way it does this is via Bumble prompts.

Every user (unless they’ve been grandfathered in) has to fill in three Bumble prompts.

While it’s not guaranteed that your responses will be read, in order for a female user to see multiple photos of yours (by far the most important portion of your profile) she has to scroll past a Bumble prompt response.

Unlike Bumble’s younger and more wild twin, Tinder, Bumble’s UX at least makes an attempt to force users to read about another user.

So yes, considering most users will at least read a portion of one of your prompts it’s important that you take the time to write a compelling response.

1) Sooo True

There are an inordinate amount of lame guys on Bumble.

What does a lame guy look like?

Well, he only posts selfies and every Bumble prompt response is either super serious or contains two words.

With this post, I’d like to illustrate that by putting another minute of thought into what you’ll write you can create a response far better than the competition.

The response above doesn’t take itself seriously.

In an app where too many people are trying to find their spouse, a response like this stands out.

It brings levity to what can be a scary and anxiety-inducing process of finding love online.

2) You Can’t Run Away From Good Tunes

Making your post relatable without being cliche is always a good idea.

I’m sure most people have put their Spotify on shuffle to get avoid listening to the same songs they’ve had on repeat for the last week. But sure enough the algorithm finds a way to reunite you two.

Writing about music, your favorite bands, musical experiences, etc. is a great idea. Everyone has a powerful connection to music. When we begin to bond with someone music is often a topic we gravitate towards.

Let the awesome power of music bring you two together.

3) Flex It Out

What makes you awesome?

Now’s your time to talk about how cool you are — just don’t come off as annoying.

Do you travel the world, have a Ph.D., got invited to speak at a TED event, or have never lost a trivia contest?

Whatever the case may be, now is your chance to showcase what makes you the only and only you.

To her, you’re a stranger.

That won’t’ change by offering up a detailed and revealing prompt response.

However, it might just convince her that you’re a stranger worth getting to know.

4) Show Your True Colors

best bumble responses

You don’t want every Bee on Bumble to swipe right on your profile.

It’s great for your ego but not for your love life.

Instead, you only want to attract women that you think you’d connect with.

To do so, use your prompt responses as a filter.

Use keywords that resonate with your desired audience.

The profile above is clearly trying to appeal to “basic” women. Women that drink mimosas, treat themselves to a spa day, watch Gossip Girl, and of course sip on pumpkin spiced lattes.

5) Be You, Do You

best bumble responses

Not everyone feels this way.

In fact, a small portion of people probably do.

Which is why they’re on Bumble.

Instead of waiting around to meet people at parties and at the gym, they’re swiping through a massive online dating pool and in the attempt to quickly find singles with shared interests.

But using their “I get way too excited about” prompt response to filter out incompatibles isn’t the only thing this profile does well.

Look at that last sentence, If you’re out there, let’s talk.

It’s a soft call to action that invites women to message you.

And let’s not forget that Bumble requires women to message first in order for conversations to start.

6) Eat Your Way To A Match

best bumble responses

Everyone is a foodie nowadays.

Get your Sunday swipe on and you’ll see how many females are posting about their Tacos odysseys as they attempt to find someone who will help them find the best tacos in town.

Writing about food is easy and a quick way to bond with someone. Whether you’re into lamb vindaloo or mole, let the ladies of Bumble know what you’re into and that you’re up for getting a bite to eat.

Side-note: do you see the spelling error in the above prompt response? Do make sure you re-read your prompt responses BEFORE submitting. This is a guaranteed way to get less swipe rights.

7) Ask Her Out ASAP

Most people that use dating apps have never gone on a date with a match.

Although the study below pulls from responses from college students using Tinder we can extrapolate that even older users of Bumble don’t always use the app to meet romantic partners.

As you can see there are plenty of users that swipe to boost their confidence are other non-romantic unspecified reasons.

The prompt response above works so well because it asks new matches on a date signaling that this person is serious about meeting in person — something most users have never even done.

What Makes A Good Bumble Prompt Response?

What have you noticed about the prompt responses thus far?

Probably that every response is different.

Look there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to a response.

Not all responses have to be humorous or broach a date idea.

Instead, the best responses contain at least one of the following elements.

Humor

Too many users (men especially) don’t put any effort into their responses.

This is an issue seeing as how Bumble users, on the whole, are less superficial than Tinder users. A Bumble user will actually read your entire profile before deciding to shoot you a message.

Adding a little humor to your response will humanize you and make you stand out against a backdrop of mediocre men.

Details

Instead of saying, “I like Netflix” tell her which shows you’re into, how you like to watch TV (with popcorn in hand, binge-style etc.) and which shows you’re looking forward to.

Specificity makes you more granular and complex.

A woman won’t commit to meeting a stranger in person if she has no idea who he is. Mitigate her worries that you’re a weirdo by letting her know exactly who you are.

Date Ideas

The last two prompt responses did a great job of gently pitching date ideas.

Show her you’re a man of action and that if you match and get to talking there’s a real possibility that you two will go out.

There is no special sauce when it comes to writing the perfect prompt response.

Just attempt to include at least one of the aforementioned elements and I’m sure you’ll start collecting matches in no time.

8) I get way too excited about…

i get way too excited about

I’m not going to lie, you may have seen this response in another one of our Bumble prompt guides.

It’s just too good of a response to restrict to just one article.

This response has everything.

Humor, details, and a first date idea.

It makes the profile-owner look like a pretty swipeable guy (at least in my opinion).

9) I get way too excited about… Free Samples

i get way too excited about

If you can make her chuckle, well done, there’s a 99% chance she’ll swipe right.

Just make sure she’s not laughing at some morbid joke or at you.

This response walks a fine line.

It makes the user look cheap, but not if the rest of the profile has status signals and dignity it should be fine.

Every profile should have a balance.

For example, you wouldn’t want to pen three absurd yet humorous Bumble answers.

That would make you look like a joke.

Instead, make sure each response offers the reader something different and makes you look like a well-rounded individual.

10) Play By Your Own Rules

i get way too excited about

Just because the prompt says one thing doesn’t mean you need to directly answer the question or finish the statement with the expected answer.

Bumble offers over 25 prompts but that doesn’t mean you’ll find one that you want to use.

Get creative, break rules, and only write responses that make you look good.

Also, keep in mind that you have plenty of real estate to work with.

It would have been too easy to simply respond, “my symptoms on WebMD” to this prompt.

But every other guy on Bumble is providing one or two-word responses.

Use the space provided to pen an in-depth answer.

11) Umm… Okay

i get way too excited about

Not every prompt response will be perfect.

Not every one you write will make her laugh or get you that coveted swipe right.

That being said, the attempt will still win you points.

Too many guys put too little effort into showcasing who they are. Your attempt at injecting a bit of humor into your prompt will do more good than harm.

A Note On Photos

Bumble’s one of the least superficial dating apps out there.

This is evidenced by putting the emphasis on women and their safety, the three prompts, the app’s UX, its detailed search preferences, and more.

Yet despite all these measures, it can’t magically change the value users place on photos.

Your photos say more than a prompt response ever could.

It’s for this reason I’d be remiss if we didn’t briefly touch on how to choose awesome photos for your Bumble account.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what each photo in your roster should look like.

Photo 1: Headshot

The first thing you want to do is let her know what you look like.

You can do this by making your first photo a close-up headshot.

Make sure your hair and facial hair are on point, that you’re dressed fashionably, are not wearing glasses or a hat, and can clearly see your face.

Also take into account the background and of course quality of the photo.

Photo 2: Full Body

There are plenty of questions she wants answered before a first date.

Some are worth answering before while others need answering in person. One of those pre-date questions that deserves an answer is, does he have all his limbs?

Answer this with a full body-shot.

Photo 3: The Hobby Pic

What gets you going?

How do you spend your free time?

Who are you?

You can write about your hobbies all you want but the absolute best way to answer this question is by uploading a pic of you doing what you love.

Photo 4: Group Pic

NEVER post a group photo as your first or second photo.

She’s not swiping on your friends she’s swiping on you.

Group photos are a big no-no as a top-of-funnel photo.

Should she be interested enough to scroll down, show her that you’re not a creep by posting a photo of you and your buddies.

Other Photos

Regardless of the app, always post at leat 6 photos.

Some other photos ideas might be:

  • Animals pics
  • Sports pics
  • Playing an instrument
  • International travel pics
  • Status pics
