San Francisco Financial District Date Idea – Annabelle’s and The View Lounge

This week I am gonna share an epic dating idea in the South of Market District/Financial District of San Francisco. Even if you aren’t a San Francisco resident….grab a date, hop on Bart, exit the Powell Street station, and enjoy a great night in the city. First and foremost, I recommend this date idea for a:

A 3rd or 4th Date with Someone Special. Definitely not a 1st Date.

My boyfriend and I decided a couple months ago to try dinner at Annabelle’s Bar and Bistro. Generally, 4th street near market street is pretty safe. But I gotta tell ya…be careful. As we were making our way into Annabelle’s, a crack head randomly, but intentionally- bumped into my boyfriend. Being sensible, he pulled me away to walk away from any confrontation. There happened to be a family walking behind the crack head and witnessed the whole thing. We could hear the father telling his kids “See that’s how you handle violent situations.” Way cool right! As you walk into Annabelle’s you can tell it’s a classy spot. If you are a man reading this post, make sure and get a reservation beforehand. You don’t want to be stuck for 45 minutes waiting for a table. Also, arrive 15 minutes early and take your date into the bar area. If you are a lady reading this post, and you like sweet drinks…try Annabelle’s Centennial Cocktail. This drink includes Ketel One Orange Vodka and some tasty cranberry juice – a great way start the night off.

The service was excellent at Annabelle’s- very prompt and personable. If you are not on a diet, order the bacon wrapped prawns as a starter. For an entree, we ordered the King Salmon and the Garlic Shrimp Pizza. We were both very happy with the quality of the food…you will be as well.

Once you finish up at Annabelle’s, cross 4th street and enter the Marriott Marquis. Make sure and use a crosswalk so you don’t get run over! Walk past the first floor bar and enter one of the center elevators. Head up to The View Lounge on the 39th floor. Exit the elevator and you’ll quickly understand why this an ultimate place to get cozy with a date.

Take a stroll around the View Lounge and you’ll witness 360 degrees of breath taking views of San Francisco. Try and get a table near one of the glass walls. A server will come by and take your order until 1:30am on the weekends. Since this is a high-end spot, be prepared for above average drink prices.

If you are a man reading this post, hopefully you secured one of the couch areas. If not, pull up a chair right next to your date. If you haven’t kissed your date yet….this would be an awesome time/spot to lay it on her! She will never forget it — and i’ll leave it like that.
