San Francisco Dating Idea in the Lower Pacific Heights District

San Francisco Dating Idea in the Lower Pacific Heights District

Hey ladies and gents…it’s EmLovz, your San Francisco Matchmaker and Online Dating Coach. First and foremost I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you are enjoying this holiday season with the people who love you most.

There are many reasons that I love the month of December. There is Christmas, New Years Eve, and my birthday! This year has been even more special as my family decided to travel out to San Francisco so we can all be together this holiday season.

I wanted to write today about a great date spot in the Lower Pacific Heights area of San Francisco. On my birthday a couple days ago, I decided to take my family over to Tortilla Heights, a Mexican restaurant that would be a great choice for your next date. Here is what I recommend this restaurant for:

The End of a Successful 1st or 2nd Date

Sometimes first dates can be really awkward and you just wanna bail out as soon as you can think up a mediocre excuse. Other times, first dates are so great that you want to keep the party going and the energy moving. If your situation is the latter, then definitely make a stop into Tortilla Heights at the end of your first daylong date or second rendez-vous.

The ambiance is fantastic here. First, TH does a great job creating a romantic, relaxed vibe by super-dimming their lights. Everyone looks better the lower those lights get! Just watch the booze because you sure don’t want the beer goggles + the dim lighting to find ya shacked up somewhere with the beast and not the beauty. If the date has been going well all day, now is your opportunity to cozy up right next to your date. Break past any possible “Friendzoning” by subtly touching your dates leg (not too far up, somewhere right above the knee). This shows your date that you want to be more than friends.

For the neighborhood, the food price at Tortilla Heights is average. The service was excellent and has been excellent over the years. All you ladies out there might want to try their Cucumber Strawberry Margarita. I had two of these and let me tell ya they are BOMB. For you guys out there…make sure you don’t eat too much and put yourself in a food coma! Might I recommend the fish tacos or the battered avocado tacos (if you’re rocking the Vegan). The portions are a good size so be careful not to overindulge.

Again for all the guys out there- always suggest a nightcap after a successful dinner date. That is…one final drink after dinner at a nearby new venue. Make sure and do some homework and have this location selected and mapped out beforehand. After you finish up at Tortilla Heights, make your way up Divisadero Street to The Lion Pub.

The Lion Pub is a great place to finish off a fun date. They serve fresh squeezed juice drinks! Are you kidding me? Who doesn’t love cocktails made with fresh ingredients? The LP is rather small – so if you are on a date during a busy time, you might not be able to get a cozy table next to the fire. Or you could get clever and make reservations…. just sayin.

The Lion Pub has a jungle type theme including a huge Lion statue near the entrance. The space is, again, dimly lit, which keeps the romantic vibes flowing from Tortilla Heights. Occasionally I’ve seen cheese platters in the back of the pub for everyone to grub down at no charge! Awesome sauce.

So there it is…some dating ideas in the Lower Pacific Heights district of San Francisco. Before you go…make sure and write a comment below and tell me about a great date you’ve had in the Bay Area…. or an awesome date-spot in the Lower Pacific Heights.
