North Beach Date Idea – Washington Square Park – Coit Tower – Calazones Pizza Cucina

Hey ladies and gents…it’s EmLovz, your Dating Coach in the Bay Area. Are you looking for a new date idea in San Francisco. Perhaps in the North Beach district? If so, I have a great dating idea for you.

Start off by meeting your date at Washington Square Park in the mid afternoon. There are a number of epic parks in San Francisco- but Washington Square Park is one of my favorites. In the summer time, you’ll see locals spread out on blankets or throwing a football around. There is also a North Beach Festival that centers around this park.

Before I continue, this post is great for a 2nd or 3rd date. This would be a great adventure to have with someone you’ve previously connected with. A successful 2nd or 3rd date involves changing environments – starting real life connections in multiple spots.

If you are a guy reading this article – show up about fifteen minutes early and get comfortable on one of the many green benches in the park. It’s always good to relax ahead of time before a first or second date. During my 100-date experiment a couple years back, I could always tell if a guy warmed up before a date- or if he just rolled outta bed. Plus, very important, women love a man who is on time!

To begin the date you’ll want to walk around Washington Park together. It’s always easy to break the ice by being outward focused and not interviewing each other right away. Save the serious stuff for later. Talk about the dogs you may see running around the park and go explore Saints Peter and Paul Church right across the street. See if your date notices the address of the church. Check it out – 666 Filbert Street! Crazy stuff.

If the date is going well at the end of your Washington Park adventure….head up to Coit Tower. Coit Tower is truly a San Francisco treasure. It features a 210 foot art deco concrete tower and some amazing views of San Francisco. From Washington Park, it’s about 4 or so blocks away….a 15-20 minute walk. Make sure you are wearing proper shoes, as it’s a bit uphill.

During the walk up to Coit Tower would be a great time to start getting to know your date on a personal level. Ask your date how they spend their free time, what they like to do on the weekends, ask about their family, do they have a big circle of friends, how long have they been single, etc…. It’s always a good time to ask these semi-serious questions after you both have warmed up together.

If you met during the late afternoon and you get done exploring Coit Tower….surely you both will be hungry. If the date is going well…it’s time to move on to your 3rd location together. Dinner time at Calazone’s Pizza Cucina Restaurant. I recommend this restaurant for multiple reasons.

The first reason is the calazone dishes are truly to-die-for. My boyfriend, a true Italian, cannot get enough of these folded up pizza delights either. The second reason, maybe even more important, is because you can continue your outdoor experience by sitting outside in their heated porch area.

Enjoy your dinner….but hey…..If you’ve have made all the way to dinner, you two must be enjoying each others company. Before you finish eating, don’t forget to ask your date what his or her favorite district is in San Francisco. Suggest meeting up there the following week.

When you do eventually meet back up, you’ll feel like you are on your 4th or 5th date together. You’ve already been to Washington Park, Coit Tower, and had a dinner date.

So there it is…a great date idea in the North Beach district of San Francisco. Before you go……make sure and write a comment below and tell me about a great date you’ve had in the Bay Area…. or another awesome date-spot in North Beach.

With Love,

Plan a day at the beach in San Francisco for your next date
