First Date Ideas San Francisco

First Date Ideas San Francisco

Today I’m writing to tell you about some changes that I’m making to the EmLovz blog. With my virtual dating assistant service becoming one of the most popular ways to meet San Francisco singles, I want to make sure I’m giving my community every possible resource they need to be successful here in the bay. As such, I’m going to be getting more specific and my content is going to change.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be visiting different bay area dating locations and giving you reviews on where to go to meet the most beautiful women that have the best personalities and who are most receptive to your approaches. One week we will walk, step-by-step through how to plan a custom date in SF. Another, I’ll tell you the top 10 places to go so you never get rejected again (hint: there are no bars on this list).

But…the most important thing to me is you, that I answer your questions about the things that you are most interested in. And I don’t want to leave anyone out, so if you don’t live in San Francisco and your feeling a bit shafted because all I’m talking about is how to date in the bay, comment on this or any one of my other blogs and tell me how I can help answer your questions too.

Sound like a plan? Great… Well let’s get on with it…

Are you looking for a new dating idea in SOMA? San Francisco’s south of market is the new hot spot for date night. It’s definitely been a while since I roamed around this part of town but let me tell you…I had a blast! The first thing I noticed was all the construction going up. The next time you drive on the 280N toward AT&T Park take a look at the new buildings. It’s exciting to see the positive growth in San Francisco!

Anyhow…last Friday I met up with a group of friends at Lucky Strike. If you aren’t familiar with this place- it’s a huge venue that features an upscale bar and bowling alley. While I was on my way there, I decided to stop for a bite to eat and found an awesome burger place called Umami Burger.

When I arrived, I was greeted by a host and, because I was feeling social, asked her to seat me at the bar.

Hint#1: If you’re going out to meet people, choosing the location of where you sit can make all the difference in whether you seem receptive or whether you seem closed off and unapproachable. This is especially important for women to keep in mind.

If you want to meet a guy, you need to make it as easy as possible for him to approach you. It is scary enough to have to be the one to initiate conversation with a total stranger. Help him out and make it easier on him. Smile, angle your body outward, and don’t always go out with a pack of girls (it’s intimidating). Never sit at a table away from all the action, instead, sit in the middle of the bar and face outward. Guys will not risk getting rejected in front of a crowd. Help a brotha out.

Hint#2: The service is usually much better at smaller bars and good service is the key to a good date so always make note when you find one. There were two twenty-something bartenders working together and their service was excellent.

The Turkey Burgers are excellent. At other places they’re usually bland, but this one had a unique taste. The bartender also recommended a beer: Magic Hat #9. If you are into lighter ales that have an apricot taste, you’ll want to try this one.

Hint #3: If you’re drinking beer, you better have breath mints.

After dinner I made my way to Lucky Strike to meet friends. Yes!… finally a little time to relax and enjoy myself. I opened the door and instantly, could feel the positive energy. Immediately, I was greeted by a large bar area. If you’re on a date, grab a drink when you first get in. Then walk around and check everything out. You’ll notice pool tables behind the bar and a bunch of bowling lanes in the back. If you’ve got crazy Pac Man skills, they’ve got that too and it’s a fun way to engage your date’s competitive side.

If you are a man reading this post remember that women like clean and inviting bathrooms. If you are going to plan a date with a new woman, or any woman for that matter, scope out the venue ahead of time and make sure the bathrooms are in good shape. Taking women to places with gross bathrooms will only lower your chance of success. Your date is going into the bathroom to rejuvenate herself, she needs to feel safe and secure there.

Hint #4: Always make sure the women’s bathroom is clean, warm, and has a mirror. Lucky Strike passes the EmLovz bathroom check! More on why this is so totally important later.

After a couple games of pool, a glass of red wine, and some fun conversation… I hit my Friday night wall! Not an actual wall. But, a “I want my couch and my pillow” type of wall. So home I went!

If you are hunting for the best San Francisco date ideas, I think Umami Burger and Lucky Strike would be a great time. Umami is casual and low key. The food came out quickly and the prices were fair for San Francisco. Lucky Strike is a great stop along the way because of all the options. You can socialize at the bar, play some pool, or throw some strikes in the bowling alley.

So there it is…some dating ideas in the SoMa area of San Francisco. Make sure and write a comment below and tell me about some other awesome SoMa venues so I can check them out as well.

With Love,
